You've probably got V� in "Offline Mode" (setting menu).

There's an ENV: variable gets set to the last used path of each vapor
app.  This is what gets used when opening V from a MD2 detected link. 
You need to run the desired version of V and exit cleanly once to get
it to save the details.  If you're using some hack for your ENVARC:
variables that may prevent them from getting overwritten then you'll
have to permit the variable to be stored on the HDD else you'll lose
it next reboot.  (Ack! I said that word again!..:-) )
