I got a surf squirrel which I intended to use with my towered A1200 to
give me a better serial port but I couldn't get it to work at all
including the SCSI side but it worked fine in my other 1200 with a
Blizzard 1230 MkIV and 8 Meg ram with 3.0 Roms. As my tower has 3.1
Roms a buffered Ide interface,a 603e 040 PPC Card,EZ-Key Interface and
Scan Doubler I assumed that there was an incompatability problem
somewhere so went back to using a classic squirrel and bought a
silversurfer. Perhaps you have the same problem? I'd tried the latest
drivers too.
By the way this may be a bit obvious and possibly a mistake in your
typing but the surf squirrel uses the squirrelserial.device (no
spaces) not squirrel.serial as written in your email.
