I've got a surf squirrel as my a500 with gvp scsi died and I needed
replacement scsi.

It is faster, especially with large downloads and 30k pages which used to be
irritating just come over.

Watching the league table in Internet Magazine to ensure a fast connection
might be a contributer to this.

Not used a serial port interface, but saw thay eyetech have one at reduced
price in Amiga Format.

My advise would be to look at your phone bill and decided whether the
savings would quickly pay for the new port. If you connect during peak
time, signing up to http://www.ontel.com and reducing from 4p to 2.5p a
minute will quickly pay for a new port!

My reading of the situation is that ppc cards which emulate 068xx are coming
out next year. This could mean lots of people selling their accellerators
second hand.
