Be wary of the revision board you have.  I speak from experience.  I have a
similar setup, and my old revision 1B board refuses to work correctly with
either the Hypercom or the IOBlix serial cards.  I don't know about the Silver
Surfer, but I'm not optomistic.  Am I the only one on this list with an Amiga
that old?

Apparently, newer revisions don't even have the clock port expansion pins, and
revisions 1D4 and 2B have timing problems which some clock port expansions don't
like without modifications.  These modifications cost �30 + P&P, which seems a
bit steep when a 2nd hand A1200 can cost roughly the same.

Incidentally, I now have a new Hypercom which I can't use, and seemingly no way
of contacting Chris Wiles to arrange any alternative.  I may need to sell it at
a loss soon and resign myself to the slow internal serial port. :-(
