On 14 Dec 99 Dirk Harlaar wrote too much to quote here on the subject
of upgrading from NC2 to NC3 in response to Neil Bothwick and Julian
Richards.

I'm in a similar position to Dirk in that I didn't have to return my
NC2 disc to upgrade to NC3 but unlike him I use X-Arc and therefore
have it still installed on my HD. It's installed with the NC3 programs
and I have an assign for NC2 to that drawer. I've also still got my
NC2 key file in place. However, I digress.

I can see the logic in both Dirk's and Neil's arguments. You wouldn't
keep your old car when you trade it in on a new model. Also you should
still be able to use software that you've paid for that hasn't been
upgraded as part of a package upgrade.

Perhaps a long term answer would be for Vapor to issue key files, free
of charge, to all registered NC3 users that will enable them to use
those elements of NC2 that are not included in NC3, thereby removing
any link between NC2 and its component parts. This would also enable
usage of upgraded versions of the programs as and when they become available.

BTW is Julian Richards using his RAF service number as his address? It
certainly looks like one to me! :)
