Wrong. You buy a 'license to use the software'. When you buy the software,
and buy the license, the license (serial code) is yours, and only yours. You
can only resell this serial code if a) you haven't registered it as yours
and b) you do not intend to upgrade nor use this software license again, in
the future.

An example of this is the person who advertised NC 2 in the latest Amiga
Format as he had 'upgraded to NC 3' so was 'selling NC 2'.

Erm. You cannot do that. If I bought MS Word 97, registered it, then
upgraded (using the serial code as 'proof of ownership'), I cannot then go
and sell the software + license code. What happens if that other person then
goes and tries to upgrade? The software (MS Word 97) is registered to me!
