I'm sorry Chris feels like this, but I totaly understand his view-point.
It seems that some people just can't appreciate what he is actually doing,
or the amount of effort that has to go into Netconnect from him!
Just wake up everybody, and start to look at what you are getting from
Netconnect! What is the purpose of it? People are moaning that they have to
pay �35 instead of �25 for an upgrade!!!! Why???? As Chris pointed out, it
costs about �130 to register each bit seperately!
People are moaning that it is buggy! Voyager is called a 'Pre-Release'
as that is what it is-unfinished! Would you not all be moaning more if
Chris had waited until the final Voyager release was out before he released
Netconnect v3? What you get is a fully functional, if occasionally buggy
bit of s/w. If you don't like that, get IBrowse or A-Web! (Not that either
of those will be any better!) Or wait to upgrade Netconnect until the final
release is out!
I ordered my copy a month ago, and just got an e-mail asking me to
re-order! My fault, wrong details! I'm gonna re-order again over the
weekend and if I have to upgrade now thru Eyetech for �35 rather than �25
and send my v2 CD back then thats cool by me! I still save �95 on
registering! :)
So people, please, try and understand things from Chris's point of view,
or we WILL drive him away from the amiga market, with it's so called loyal
users!
