I had the same problem with my A4000 with external Pace 56K modem so I don't
think it's anything to do with heat. When you get that error message, if
you look in "Workbench/Devs/Networks" you'll see "app.device and
app0.device" . Delete the "app0.device" and it'll work. I don't know why it
makes this other device but when I installed GENESiS from NC3 it went away.
