They do, but you would be surprised how much is in them. They look to me as if they
are compressed
files. Since the content is etxt, the file could be compressed to a fifth of its
original size.

I don't know, but many programs take the last `Save as' as the default path. You can
check the
defaults by Project/Open, note the path/filename and then cancel, and then `Save as'
and see if it's the same
path and filename. Both should be <Program directory>/<username>/<username>.data.

The datestamp is displayed for all files in Workbench's or DOPus' list view. DOpus
will sort by
date if you click in the date column label. Click it again and the order is reversed.
Click the name
column label to go back to alphabetical sort.
WB will sort by date if you select that in `View by'.
View date stamps in any big directory of pics or docs or anything else. It's handy for
sorting what
is obsolete and can be deleted. It's handy if you are a compulsive Aminet downloader
too.
