There's no reason why it should, anyone who puts Windows bitmap images on
a web page is a dork and shouldn't be running a website.
If you come across a site that does have bitmaps on then you're probably
best not wasting your time on it as whoever did it is clearly completely
and utterly clueless beyond all help. However, if you do want to look at
the pictures, there are plenty of programs/datatypes on Aminet that will
load Windows bitmap files, and you can then save them out as something
more sensible.
