I use a 1942 at 800x600. Width is no problem but the screen is a little
higher than the displayable area.

Have you tried adjusting the monitor controls?

You may not have a choice, it depends on what's available. I guess PPC
boards are less rare than P-IVs. I'd say go for the PPC and get a CVPPC
later, when you can afford it.
