Bear in mind, Around here between 1700-0000 you can expect 500-1200cps
downloads, anyother time its a healthy 3000-12000 cps depending on wind :o)
IRC seems to works ok at anytime

Its free and it doesn`t bother me how slow it is due to costs. Its to be
expected that the connection may or may not be the fastest. I`m thinking ppl
are still getting used to the novelty value and are staying on wether they
actually need to or not. Like me all day yesterday :o) 

Early days yet :o) 

Oh yeah, and remember to mention to the gamesmaster you wouldn`t mind a
DoomII server set-up ;o)
