First I am not one of the clever people to whom I am grateful for help
previously given, but I had the same problem as you with Voyager
downloads. In fact I never even found the VViewTemp files unless I
used Voyager 3.0a. The program said it was down loading to RAM but in
fact it wasn't. Eventually I worked out a way of identifying the
VViews and was able, due to advice from others to de-archive them, but
that's all old hat now, since Jeremy Green drew my attention to right
button clicking. If you place the mouse over the name of the version, plugin, or
whatever on the Voyager page that you want to download a menu comes
up. *Right click* on 'Download' and the file will be sent to the RAM
disk. Unlike it going to the cache the only indication that's anything
happening will be in the download window i.e. there is no hard disk
activity. Then you can open the Ram Disk and there will be a tool icon
for the lha file with its proper name. Obviously easier than VViews
particularly when doing multiple downloads and running up against the
problem of renaming them. The menu , for right hand clicking, only
comes up with the names of downloads in the middle of the page - not
with those down the left handside - Mirrors,I think they may be
called.

You can then de-archive it, or if rushed for time transfer it by
dragging to any convenient location to deal with later. It will only
be visible on "view all" and to the best of my limited understanding
you will have to drag it back to Ram Disk to de-archive.

As I said I'm absolutely not expert, but this process has worked for
me. This morning I finally managed to download Voyager 3.2,VFlash
plugins, and Apdf, fonts etc. etc. De-archived and installed though
time alone will tell whether I got the installation right. So far
Voyager still works so there's hope !

I saw your reply on 'attachments', hopefully some kind and
knowledgeable person will enlighten us. I don't wish problems on
anyone but its a relief to know that there are some people out there,
almost as baffled as myself !

Good luck
Ian

"When all else fails - bugger it !" Ben Vost in an e.mail telling me
how to de-archive.
