In theory, no.  It shouldn't matter at all.  Especially if you avoid
IRC, or anything else which publicises your IP address.

When you were online or offline?  If you were online, it could just be
your ISP doing an "are you awake?" ping.  The default settings of
Genesis don't leave much for an outsider to get a handle on, and
they'd be looking for NetBios (Windows Networking) ports being open
probably.

I'd say you were in a very low risk group, though.  These days, most
Amiga users are.
