The url I use is ip_address:5000 so I can't see any DNS problems.
The test login I created is "test", "test" so I'm not sure how the keyboard
layout matters.
There's no VPN or proxy involved.
And this is what F12 shows me on Firefox:

ohw, i guess i should have mentioned the "network" tab is the most interesting
one in this case when using f12 mode. also, for firefox, make sure you activate
"persist logs".
the part that you want to have a look at is the "POST" request to the "login"
page, it should return a http 302 status code followed by a "GET" to
"inventory".
further down there might be a 404 for a png image, that can be ignored.
i also have those source map errors as you noted , but those dont seem be cause
me any issues.
(also tested in firefox 61.0.2, only 1 addon: ublock origin but i've disabled
it for our internal hosts)
