Brendan,
The uniqueValue is added at the end of the location URL on the page e.g.,
http://localhost/cgi-bin/ndISAPI.dll/MCSC/pgCustomersList?~uniqueValue=92850
8849
The number changes everytime one runs the same page. I don't know what's the
significance/purpose of this uniqueValue. It doesn't get passed with the
spidersession but is needed if one wants to come from a non-ND page back to
ND-page.
Could you please elaborate a little on 'Have you considered using a lower
level approach to the problem?'
Should it make a difference whether I use:
theBtn.setSendSessionToExternalURL(true);
or add the **SPIDERSESSION** to the button's html text?
Thanks for your help.

I don't know if any difference between a session unique id and the rest of
the session.
I have not used the external URL feature you are mentioning.
Have you considered using a lower level approach to the problem?
You could extract session id from its hidden field and do anything you like
with it using basic JavaScript/HTML/CGI tools.

I did not get any response to this. I am resending it with the hope
that
someone has info on it.
