Haven't used Cold Fusion. 

Oracle Application Server (haven't used the latest) is way too buggy. 

There are about 10-25 java application servers in the market. 
I believe BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere and Gemstone/J are the 
price/market leaders.

IBM is IBM with all its muscle. 
BEA knows middleware.
Gemstone has the best technology. 

If you want low-price, productivity, 
scalability and flexibility, go with Zope (www.zope.org) on a 
TurboLinux cluster.
