Subject: ERRORS 52, 55 & 75

The problem here is the changing nature of HTML on webpages. CNN's
website is a good example of an instance where at least one of the
errors listed by Jerry will occur in version 1.11.2 or version 1.12
BETA of Net-Tamer. These changes are occurring as websites upgrade
their webpages or possibly their HTML editors. For whatever reason,
Net-Tamer is unable to cope. In some cases, it's actually possible to
avoid the problem by reverting to an older version of Net-Tamer.
Version 1.10 works on some occasions where versions 1.11.2 and 1.12
BETA will not. The same is true of version 1.08. However, many
websites require HTTP 1.1 compatibility, and only versions 1.11x and
1.12 BETA hold such compatibility. Thus, in some situations, you have
no options other than to go with an entirely different software
package. Will David Colston deal with this problem? We'll have to see.
He was told of it about a month ago. One thing is for certain: if this
issue is not substantively dealt with, Net-Tamer's web browser could
soon be so limited in the number of websites to which it can gain
access that using it would be pointless for too many people.

-0500:

JH>On two different PCs I'm suddenly encountering ERRORS 52, 55 & 75; the
JH>first PC is my PS/1 with Net-Tamer XT, and the second is my 486 with
JH>the 386 version of Net-Tamer. These are the most recent, non-beta
JH>versions.
JH>
JH>I've certainly not changed anything to either PC's settings to cause
JH>any TSR conflicts (as ERROR 75 would imply), and I don't have any
JH>problems with e-mail upload and retrieval. What *does* happen,
JH>however, is that when I attempt to access *any* web site (I use
JH>text mode), after the site page is downloaded, the parsing engine
JH>begins stage "1", then stalls and returns to the terminal screen
JH>before beginning the 2nd parsing stage.
