Yes, but the new .pdf files can't be read by the DOS version, which
never went beyond version 1.0. Adobe simply made it obsolete by not
updating it while introducing new versions for Windows. My way of
testing the DOS version has been to try it with .pdf files from the IRS
site. In the past you could download forms from the IRS and they would
print out correctly using the DOS version of Acrobat Reader. This year,
the IRS has upgraded the version of the Adobe Acrobat distiller that
they use to create .pdf files and, as a result, the DOS version can no
longer read and display or print all the forms. The state of California
converted to a newer version years ago. The times, they are a changing.
