Yes, there is. Or was. I don't know if it will be possible to find it anymore at 
Adobe's website. Haven't tried it myself.

If I remember correctly, it had a version number of 1.0 something. Latest 
version is 4.05, which is available for most any OS, except DOS, 
unfortunately.

Even if you would manage to find the DOS-version, it would probably be 
useless, because most pdf-documents produced now needs at least a 
version number of 3.0x, if I'm not wrong.

The best option would be to mail the URL of the pdf-document in question 
to a conversion service, which converts the text in it to plain ASCII-text or 
html, which can then be fed to your screenreader. Read more about it at:
