Actually, according to the information available when running LOADFIX
from MSDOS 6.22 and using the /? parameter for help, the purpose of
LOADFIX is to load a program above the first 64K of memory, and run
the program. This is _not_ loading it into high memory. Going on, the
help says to "Use LOADFIX to load a program if you have received the
message 'Packed file corrupt' when trying to load it into low memory."

DRDOS 7.03 doesn't have LOADFIX.COM, but has a batch file named
LOADFIX.BAT that runs MEMMAX to do the same thing. In that batch file
is the following text that explains (or attempts to explain) what
LOADFIX is intended to do:

"Some applications have problems when they are run from low memory (with
DOS=HIGH). This especially includes programs which have been linked
older versions of MS LINK, or have been compressed by MS EXEPACK. To
avoid this problem, LOADFIX can be used to temporarily disable low
memory (-L), loading the application above the first 64 Kb. A permanent
fix could be to decompress such applications, and compress them using a
3rd party compressor (many utilities have built-in support for this
problem)."

Again, the purpose of the application is to load a program above the
first 64K, but that's _not_ loading it into high memory.

Now, if you believe you are having this kind of problem with an
application, you can try running LOADFIX with the application as the
parameter and see if it helps. However, I doubt this would help with
any problem you might be having with Net-Tamer.
