Nettamer and NetMail Pro are programs that are both written by Uncle Dave. For info on NetMail Pro and to download a functional free trial version go to http://www.nettamer.net/xagent.html. Nettamer is a big program and full of lots of features to include a web browser, an email and newsgroup client, and other goodies. NetMail Pro is a very small program. It is a transport agent for email only. Very easy to use and set up and it runs very fast and reliably even on very slow and ancient computers having very little memory. It would run just fine even on an original IBM PC having a 2400 bps. modem and only 256K of memory. I have found that both Nettamer and NetMail Pro will work just fine for email when connecting to the net through a serial port connected to a Nokia Model 7160 cell phone. Just configure your program as you would for making a connection with your ISP with an ordinary external modem. Also make sure you are subscribed for internet services through your cellular provider.
