+ 1. While I didn't want to jtd's response here's the short version why I wrote what I wrote. a. For majority of the people who use Internet and its facilities they use BSNL as a provider. b. BSNL just isn't a market provider, in many cases its the only service provider hence there is monopoly. c. BSNL is a PSU (Public Sector Unit/Company) as it gives 60% or more dividend to the govt. of India. Its also mentioned as a PSU in many of the articles . http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/Markets/IPOs/No-decision-on-BSNL-IPO-without-unions-consent-Raja/articleshow/4987328.cms So for large swaths of people, they don't know that there is any other way. If BSNL would be a visionary it would make lot of change. Lastly, if there is an IPO , I would buy the stock as I can make my voice heard. -- Regards, Shirish Agarwal My quotes in this email licensed under CC 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/3.0/ http://flossexperiences.wordpress.com 065C 6D79 A68C E7EA 52B3 8D70 950D 53FB 729A 8B17 _______________________________________________ network mailing list [email protected] http://lists.fosscom.in/listinfo.cgi/network-fosscom.in
