*.cdr is notorious enough to not be fully compatible with its own versions, or with full postscript compatibility. Illustrator, postcript, press-ready pdf, are a refined mesh too complex for non-adobe Interops. The business-model of proprietory software thrives on building a tougher tin-can when the foss community builds a better can-opener. Even inkscape can't parse its own ps properly at times. N
