Has anybody tried to convince the IT Act Review committee that FOSS
should be de jure and de facto national software policy?

Why a down to top approach? Cant we approach top policy making bodies
in uniform manner? AICTE,UGC and all can be directed in a day to
accept FOSS as de facto software approach and they have to start
converting themselves for that.

It seems as if we are behaving like missionaries who intend to convert
whole planet in one religion some nice day. FOSSCOMM core committee
has not even met HRD, IT Ministers for even a formal FOSS initiative
on national policy matters. This mailing list is a place to be happy
about seeing 'something'. Sorry to say, there is no proper
representation of spirit of FOSS developers and the efforts are very
very mild.

No IAS in FOSSCOMM mailing list? No UGC/AICTE guy? Nobody in Sachin
Pilot/Raja's team? Come on! We are not hippies.

No more Dewang! I wish he could take rebirth? This time this side!
