Like many GNU/Linux distributions (except those in the FSF list of
fully free distributions) Android also contains non-free software.

There is a fully free version of Android as well http://replicant.us/
and FSF is running a fund raising for this project as well

I feel FSF's approach is the best when working with nont-fully-free softwares.
