Yes, I know -- but from an administrative perspective, the first physical
interface is not necessarily a logical interface -- e.g., ifconfig -a does
not display it that way.

I think the difference here is that this project isn't intending to provide an
administrative interface but rather an API that allows you to access data
held inside of data structures that are private to the implementation of
network protocols on Solaris.
