Hi,

Support for MPLS tunnels. This would include MPLS to
transport packets both at the IP and the Ethernet layer.
The MPLS magic is in many aspects similar to the tunneling magic, so I wouldn't see too much of a
problem. The creation and management of MPLS
'tunnels' is done separately from the packet management
proper, either statically or using specific protocols
(LDP, OSPF-TE, etc.)

Clarifying question: are you only looking for a way to do the MPLS encapsulation, and then the software that sets this up and manages it is some application you have?

Thus if there was a dladm object (similar in spirit to the VLAN support or IP-in-IP tunneling support), so that you could do
        dladm create-mplstun ...
would that be sufficient?
