I Have a similar problem with the HP-branded NC340T

I manually edited the /etc/driver_alias file to add the 'pci103c,3109' entry 
and when I reboot with reconfigure I've got the same message for the 4 
interfaces :

e1000g: WARNING: pci103c,3109 - e1000g[0] : Could not identify hardware

Is the driver compatible ?
