I was grepping through final materials instead. So most Nemo interfaces were initially Project Private and 2006/249 promoted them to Consolidation Private. > Note that there's no difference between Consolidation Private and > Contracted Consolidation Private, other than putting a contract in place > for a Consolidation Private interface automatically makes it Contracted > Consolidation Private. > > http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/arc/policies/interface-taxonomy/ I'm a little familiar with the document :) It's true in the sense that "Contracted" is simply a modifier applied to more basic classification levels, but the resulting new level changes the way interfaces are consumed - and that's what the taxonomy spec is all about. > I'd add that it would be good to expose these Nemo cases to the > OpenSolaris community. Agreed. Not only that, but start promoting them to DDI. With runtime versioning in place, it's not that scary. -Artem _______________________________________________ networking-discuss mailing list [email protected]
