Paul,

I have installed ON bits on nv99 and thus I can build my GLDv3 driver.
What is "the background thread that runs on a DEBUG kernel" ? Could you explain?

bash-3.2# dladm show-dev
LINK STATE SPEED DUPLEX
qla0 unknown 0Mb unknown
qla1 unknown 0Mb unknown
e1000g0 up 1000Mb full
e1000g1 unknown 0Mb unknown

bash-3.2# ifconfig qla0 plumb
ifconfig: cannot open link "qla0": No such device or address

And the message log has this error:
Oct 29 09:07:36 unknown rcm_daemon[101560]: [ID 623728 daemon.error] IP: Cannot
plumb (qla0) No such file or directory
Oct 29 09:07:36 unknown rcm_daemon[101560]: [ID 156048 daemon.error] IP: IPv4
Post-attach failed (qla0)
Oct 29 09:07:36 unknown rcm_daemon[101560]: [ID 200873 daemon.error] IP:
Configuration failed (5)
Oct 29 09:07:36 unknown rcm_daemon[101560]: [ID 662841 daemon.error] IP: Failed
configuring one or more IP addresses

Only qla_attach( ) and qla_m_getcapab functions are called when "ifconfig qla0
plumb" command issued and qla_attach( ) actually returns DDI_SUCCESS. So, I am
quite confused.
