The statistics command most closely to what ipadm does is called netstat, in that it reports statistics for IP interfaces, IP addresses, and protocols. (netstat also reports tables like connections, routes, etc.)

I'd prefer to see ipstat be brought to life and do more, rather than netstat become as ugly as ifconfig in order to do all of the "new" methods for reporting of statistics.
