Things I've checked so far
- switches, nics and server copying from/to all have same MTU
- I do have jumbo frames enabled on the switches
- have tested the file copies to local OS drives setup as a CIFS
share, without the 3ware controller, just to rule out if 3ware's
drivers are buggy and causing weird issues
- I've also tested multiple network adapters, Realtek 8111,
Broadcom, and the Intel e1000, all of them exhibit the same behavior
That sounds like a malfunctioning switch or broken hardware (such as a
bad wire). Have you eliminated those as potential issues?
