Modern Fritzboxes cannot be bridged any more, at least the ones that
also do SIP, since one would lose the phone features of the box. And
"any VDSL" modem is hard to find on the market, and if it is found, it
costs > 100 Euros, way more than a Fritzbox.

I have not yet been this curious.
