Bad ISO file we got, maybe. My pet theory is that it might
be related to MMX cpu registers. Mine doesn't have
them--does yours?
PS. The person who gave me the disk (a member of our local
Linux group) installed it on his own machine--a notebook. He
said it installed with no problems. Hmmmmm....
