You are welcome, Bruno. Sorry my guess didn't do the trick.
However, I think you should rephrase your problem in a 
somewhat more specific way :

Connection : dial-up, cable or DSL ?
Modem response in Kppp ? Does it dial loud and clear ?
Output from Kppp / error-messages ?
DNS : dynamic or static (manual) ?
Lock file : on or off ?

Try to play around with the settings in Kppp a few times, 
and - if still no go - return to this list with as many 
informations as possible. We CAN read from this other OS, 
you know.
