MPlayer did tell me that my computer was too slow to play DVD's > but I had no problems with the DVD ROM on this computer under windows. oh > well, back to optimizing my machine... > > Walt
If you find the video lags behind the sound, use the -framedrop parameter when launching MPlayer and your problems will be gone. also, in a terminal, you can use "mplayer -vo help" to see which drivers you have available. Some may be faster than others. And sound drivers also affect speed.... Damian
