A year ago this same client decided to upgrade 50 W2k workstation to WXP
and Office XP. Two months ago we installed Office XP SP2 and a month
later WXP SP1.
Help Desk started receiving complains that people couldn't work with
Outlook. Quite often Outlook hang when opening an email. Searching
through Knowledge Base, we found that there was some sort of
incompatibility between Office SP2 and XP SP1. There was a patch for
Outlook. Nothing changed. More searching through Knowledge Base. Finally
a workaround from usenet: disable automatic send/receive!!!!!!
Thanks for the condolences. I appreciate it.
