You might have missed my previous posting stating i figured out that i had to add the computer in /etc/hosts.

I know where your going with this anyway... It would just be easier to (as root) type "netconf" in CLI. Seeing i am never "logged in" as root, only my user, then i "su -" and do everything from that. ALso, if i do it GUI then i feel like i am doing a MS way. It just doesnt feel correct doing a REAL OS via GUI....server tasks that is. Thanks. Rob
