tom$ frpm curl
libcurl2-7.10.3-1mdk
curl-7.10.3-1mdk

tom$ which curl
/usr/bin/curl

I don't know if those are what beta3 installs (probly updates),
but at least in a recent b3 install, curl was installed. I should'a
said why I prefer curl. For one I like the output better than wget's.
A matter of preference. The big advantage during multiple file d/l's
tho, is curl doesn't reconnect to the mirror between each file like
wget does. So at the least, it's faster.
