Are you saying that you still do not have menus after 'update-menus -v' Kaj?
If so then you probably have the 'other' menu problem. When you run 'update-menus -v' do you see some text about a syntax error in a line about fluxbox? If so edit /etc/menu/menudrakeentry find the line causing the problem. I think it is this one ?package(menu): needs="fluxbox" icon="applications_section.png" section="Fluxbox/Styles/" title="" charset="utf8" and insert some text (any text) between the quotes after 'title=' Then run update-menus again I do not disagree with your conclusion about the reaction of Joe Sixpack. Now that the download edition is published I am also expecting some very unfavourable reviews of 9.2 As someone who has spent over 20 years looking for bugs in new products for the comms industry I am always amazed at how MandrakeSoft rush to declare a release 'final' after just one or 2 days without anyone reporting a showstopping bug. If 9.2 turns some newbies off Linux it will be a pity. Once you correct the initial bugs it actually works quite nicely.
