I decided to start over with a brand new Mandrake 9.2 installation. Machine is a Dell Dimension 4550 P4 2Ghz with 512MB of RAM and an Nvidia GEforce 4 video card.
I used defaults for pretty much everything, I did check the video settings before completing the install. When I reboot, the last thing it says is "starting DM" and then I get a black screen. The machine does nothing until I hit ctrl-alt-del, then it does an orderly shutdown & reboot. Any ideas? Thanks, Steve
