I have extensively used RPM (together with XOSL) and i am afraid AFAIK it can
not resize partitions. You can create or delete partitions and
write/rewrite the partition table but i think you will loose any data
thereafter.
There are other alternatives to PM besides RPM. But i don�t recall names!
