Well, I didn't see the install when you put in Mandrake.  Any guess that I 
could make would be pure speculation on my part.  It is possible that the 
right modules got put in place but were then removed by something else.  I 
have lost my modules.conf file previously due to file corruption related to 
APIC being active when I booted my machine.  Again, I could try to guess but 
the field is wide open on that so no way to know or even have good idea if I 
was close or not to being right.

At any rate, I am glad that it is working for you now, if you have further 
problems or something doesn't work when you plug it in, ask around and I am 
pretty sure that someone can help you get it working.
