The OEM price that you are quoting is the price for the OEM version, but that 
is far more than the Dell's and HP's are paying. Back during the days of the 
MS trial and subsequent settlement, it came out that major OEM's were paying 
something on the order of $35 per system for the OS. So if they sold a whole 
bunch at $35, and a lot less at $200, the total_income would be (whole_bunch 
x $35) + (lot_less x $200) for (whole_bunch + lot_less) systems. If 
whole_bunch = 10 x lot_less, then the average price would be $50, thereby 
getting m'learned colleague off of the hook. ("m'learned colleague" seems to 
be the British equivalent to the American "lying lawyer". Yeah, I know -- 
it's an oxymoron.)
