I wouldn't have thought you need one at all, Paul.  Your camera has a 
usb connection, I believe?  If so, it can simply be mounted as 
removable storage, so you can then drag and drop your files onto the 
hard drive.  Quick and simple, and doesn't need gPhoto or any other 
package to do it.
