It was not loaded. So I did

[EMAIL PROTECTED] paul]# lsmod | grep storage
[EMAIL PROTECTED] paul]# insmod usb-storage
Using 
/lib/modules/2.4.21-0.13mdk/kernel/drivers/usb/storage/usb-storage.o.gz
[EMAIL PROTECTED] paul]#

But still kdf does not show the camera. Also, no entry is added to 
fstab. And sg_map (from sg3_utils) does not display any info about the 
device either.
