All perfectly valid points, and I'd bet that Warly has taken some stick 
for this.  One thing in his favour, though, is his honesty in admitting 
the fault, and I applaud that.  It doesn't help anything else, but it's 
a rare thing these days.

As I was one of those that only started to implement it as this broke 
out I have yet to enjoy it.  I can't get the essential updates, so I'm 
as frustrated as anyone.  I made the change because I absolutely needed 
to change to a 2.6 kernel, for hardware support.  I'm still waiting.

Mistakes are human.  I just hope that the appropriate lessons are 
learned.
