Derek,

I am using Ethernet connection only.
To my eyes, it looks that the computer connects to the Router correctly. I
can see all the signals from Router and from the port.

But I said "The connection works in XP"
means it works in another computer at home. So  may be some problems in my
ethernet network card or with my Linux.

Could you please tell me step by step
instructions to connect to the router.

I can even try that in the console if Mandrake control center is nt
sufficient.

(I believe that there is no problem with my
network card, as it is new and picked up
by Mandrake correctly)
