hi alan,
i boot using a boot floppy, i installed off the cd onto the first
partition of my scsi drive and installed lilo to the mbr of that drive
intending then to change the boot order in my bios to boot scsi first
and avoid booting from floppy but as i have described this doesn't work,
i do have other os' namely win98 on the first partition of my ide drive
but i don't want to mess with the mbr of this drive until i have a linux
setup that i am happy with, not the case so far.
i had to install linux before changing the boot order because my system
doesn't give an option to boot floppy>scsi only scsi>floppy
